Response to Intervention (RtI) was once referred to as public education’s last best hope.  At BBE, we put that hope into action during the 2011-2012 school year. We currently offer RtI services in the area of literacy in grades K-5 and math in grades K-4.  We use FASTbridge and STAR testing to benchmark our students so that we have data that tells us each individual student’s needs. Students are divided into small groups (usually 6 or less) and research based interventions are administered by an adult based on needs.  We progress monitor our students to track their progress or lack of progress and students are moved and placed in groups that are appropriate to their needs.
